Tenerife bars and clubs
The multitude of Tenerife bars is where most people spend their nights to chill out after a hard day soaking up the sun on the beach. Most bars have some form of entertainment.
Many of the bars have large screen televisions showing live football matches and your favorite soap or comedy shows.
Other bars have karaoke, pool competitions, quizzes, bingo, anything that will entertain and help pass the evening will be available.
The larger bars have a small dance floor and DJ as entertainment. Bars are open all the way through the day, closing in the early hours of the morning or whenever they start getting quiet, this is normally at about 4am, so be prepared for many late nights or early mornings.
Going out for a drink in a bar is the highlight of most people's holidays here in Tenerife. As well as the large measures of alcohol, you get the music the games and entertainment it seems to be the people here that make the night.
Tenerife Night Clubs open nearer midnight and stay open till 5 or 6 in the morning. Drinks are a bit more expensive but there is no entrance fee and the atmosphere is always fantastic.
If you're out at night in Playa de Las Americas there's a couple of areas to head for; start of at the "Patch" where the livelier bars are and then move on to the adjacent "Veronicas" where the best clubs are.
The legal drinking age is 18 in all bars and clubs, if you are under the legal age you will need to be accompanied by an adult.
